More about the accommodation:
The accommodation on offer is a light and airy room in our family home. The family is Alastair and Françoise and two other lodgers, one of whom is moving on in the summer. Plus our family dog Lina : )
Our neighbourhood is very nice. Nearby you'll find Haggerston Park, Broadway Market, Brick Lane, Old Street, Shoreditch and Bethnal Green. We live next to Columbia Road Flower market.
*Public Transport links:* The flat is close to good transport links, 10-15 minutes walk to Bethnal Green and Old Street underground, 5 minutes walk to Hoxton Overground.
Evening meals with the family are possible if required, for a weekly contribution toward costs. Alternatively you are welcome to organise meals for yourself. Alastair and Francoise are both good cooks, and Francoise is vegetarian, so if you do choose to eat with us you'll enjoy your meals!

We are a welcoming and inclusive household, active in the local community and with many interests: the church, the arts, music, politics, peace making, climate change..
We worship with our local Anglican parish church, St Peter's Bethnal Green.
Alastair and Francoise are both retired. Alastair is an active musician, and a volunteer in a few different organisations, including the Catholic Worker and Survivors' Poetry. They have a campervan and are sometimes away for extended periods of travel around the UK, to France and sometimes further afield.
Our dog is a collie cross named Lina, rescued from a shelter in Romania in 2016. She is very friendly!
