More about the accommodation seeker:
My name is Michael. I’m looking for a room in a Christian household and would love to find a warm, welcoming place to call home!
My landlord has some family matters and needs to move back into the flat, so I’m looking for somewhere by the end of January.
I work for the Diocese of Southwark organizing parish programmes and also as a barista at a couple of central London cafes. Ideally looking for something near Westbourne Park/Ladbroke Grove/Angel, but I’m flexible! My budget is around £800-1200 including bills.
A bit about me - I just finished my PhD in Music Theology (yes, that’s a thing!), and I’m passionate about making faith accessible to people, especially Gen Z. I love good coffee, post-rock music (Sigur Ros, Mogwai), and deep conversations about faith and culture. I also created these Pokemon-style trading cards with Bible verses called Kairos Cards!
I speak English, Cantonese, and Chinese, and I’ve done ministry work across Hong Kong, Australia, and the UK. I’m looking for housemates who value Christian community - people who’d be up for the occasional shared meal or prayer, but also respect quiet time and personal space.
I’m clean, organized, and pretty easy-going. Current landlord is happy to provide references!
The catch: I’m currently in Hong Kong visiting family and return on 10 January, so viewings would need to be from 11 Jan onwards (or happy to do video calls before then).
Please DM me if you have a room available or know someone who does!
