Hi, My name is Luther. I’m 22 years old and am looking for accommodation while I undertake a four-month internship with Jigsaw in Kew, London. I have just completed a degree in Fashion Textile Print at London College of Fashion. I grew up in Penzance, Cornwall, after my family moved there from Pimlico when I was four years old. I’m the second eldest of five siblings, and growing up in a large family has taught me the importance of pulling my weight around the house, as well as being considerate, helpful, and respectful of those I live with. I’ve worked in Kitchens as a sou chef and KP during summer holidays and weekends so my cooking and washing up skills are very good. I’ve been a Christian since I was a young child, but my faith became especially real to me when Jackie Pullinger prayed that I would know the Holy Spirit. That experience had a profound impact on my life, and since then my relationship with Jesus has been central to who I am. I’m friendly, sociable, and enjoy getting to know new people. Alongside my passion for art and design, I’m a keen rugby player, and I also love surfing, sailing, and horse riding—although some of those hobbies are a little harder to pursue while living in London! In August, I’ll be skippering a boat and helping to lead a group of young people on a Christian sailing adventure week with Walrus Cruise on the Norfolk Broads. I’m excited to be moving to London for this opportunity and hope to find a welcoming home where I can settle during my internship.
