More about the accommodation:
The house is very close to the green spaces of the Downs in a residential road. There is a thriving high street within a few minutes walk (Waitrose, independent cinema, Co-op, Boots, and a range of other independent shops and coffee shops). It is very close to a main route to the university and the city centre, as well as easy access to Southmead hospital or the BRI if you are working there.
The light and airy room is on the top floor of a large 6-bed Victorian house, along with a second room sometimes used for a second lodger or house guests, and a very spacious bathroom shared between the two. The room is furnished, and offers a peaceful space to study or relax after work. Downstairs, there is a large and sociable open-plan kitchen / dining space where we tend to gather / chat while cooking and eating. This space also opens onto a patio and garden.
There is free on-street parking, and also access to a secure enclosed garden where you could keep a bike.

More about the household:
I work part-time, and my husband is a part-time chaplain and an environmental engineer. We have two daughters - one is away studying and visits home occasionally, and the other has just graduated and moved back here. We do also have a lively cocker spaniel within the household - so you would ideally be a dog-lover or at least happy to be around a dog...
The room, which is on the second floor, offers a peaceful space to study or relax. Although we all have separate and busy lives, we do want to live as a household together - sometimes having shared meals, and catching up with each other most days, usually over a drink or while cooking.
We are open to both short and longer-term stays and an option of Mon-Fri only. We are, however, unable to accommodate full-time working from home (although occasional WFH would be fine).
If you are interested in living here, come and see the room and the house or get in touch for more information or with any questions.
