More about the accommodation:

This is a fully furnished flat with a well-equipped kitchen. There's a dining table in the living room, with 6 chairs. The newly renovated bathroom has a mains-supplied shower over the bath. Heating is gas powered central heating.

The room has a 'small double' bed, a desk and chair, a built-in wardrobe, a chest of drawers and plenty of shelves.

The flat is in a quiet tenement in a residential area. It has a shared drying green, some shrubbery, and a small garden, in which I am growing flowers (currently including dahlias and nasturtiums) and a few vegetables (at present spinach and rocket are happily self-seeding, and the peas have provided their first harvest of the year). The flat is within walking distance of Aldi, Sainsbury's, the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and the University of Aberdeen.

More about the household:

I enjoy gardening, so the flat's window-ledges tend to serve as a makeshift greenhouse during the spring and early summer. My tastes in fiction range from Jane Austen to Lloyd Alexander. My non-fiction reading is generally focused on church history, or theology and the Christian life. Gardening and reading, with the occasional craft, about sum up my hobbies. Unless we count food as a hobby, which I often do as pretty well nothing will prevent me taking the time to cook and eat good food.
