Come and live in lovely Long Ashton! It has the best of both worlds - near to the city centre but surrounded by countryside.
Spacious room available in my house, furnished with a good double bed (with storage drawers), chest of drawers and large wardrobe, mirror and use of own bathroom (with bath, shower basin and toilet). Plus shared use of the kitchen, lounge/dining room and garden. There is parking available on the road nearby and space for a bike in garage if needed. (This area is great for cyclists).
There is plenty going on in the village itself with three pubs, shops, GP/dentist, takeaways/cafe and lots of events and clubs. There is a cycle route (mainly off road) through the village and regular buses to the city centre in 10/15 mins and similar if driving. It is also handy for the M5 and Bristol Airport (though not affected by noise) and out to Nailsea/Clevedon/Portishead/Weston if you want to get to the coast. The Mendips are nearby.
It's also handy for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta (and other events at Ashton Court) and in the right conditions the balloons drift over the village.
I've had lodgers before and look to make this a friendly, enjoyable place to live. I'm looking for someone sociable and friendly with good energy who will chat over a cuppa/share the odd movie or meal and make use of the shared areas rather than shut themselves away but I also respect your space and privacy. I keep pretty busy with my work and interests. I'm looking for someone who will keep their own and shared space clean and tidy and play an active role in life in the house. The best fit would be someone that enjoys sharing a house rather than someone 'making do' and is also active with their own interests.
The house is over 3 floors so you don't end up tripping over each other.
Charging of bike/scooter batteries in the house, burning of candles/josticks in the room or smoking are not permitted due to the fire risk. .

Rent is £500/m plus bills of @£160/m (council tax, gas/elec and water). Deposit £500. I cover the wifi, TV licence and regular window cleaner.
The room will be available from 1 May 2025 - looking for a professional not WFH more than 1 day/week.
