Looking for a Christian flatmate! “For where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am with them”.
We have a spare double bedroom available from around 14 June (or possibly a week earlier) as our current flatmate needs to move to Scotland. I go to HTB (11:30pm Brompton Road) and also host a connect group at the flat on Tuesday evenings and help hosting Alpha. Nick goes to a house church here in Putney.
I work as a private maths tutor (from home) and interests include music (I play the piano (with headphones 😊)), politics, current affairs, development, psychology and IT. I also catch up every day by Zoom with my three Nepali goddaughters in Kathmandu (I know their family from when I did a gap year in their village between school and university). Nick also currently does some tutoring and is taking up a teaching job in September.
The flat has:
- three double bedrooms
- a large, shared living/ dining room (and one of the sofas is a sofa bed – great for the guests of any of us)
- a good-sized kitchen
- access to a very large and well-tended garden shared with the other flats
- bathroom
Facilities include:
- Sky Ultrafast (145Mb/s) broadband, with Sky Broadband Boost for better service and checks
- Deco mesh system to ensure Wi-Fi reaches every room properly
- New boiler as of 2023 so very efficient for lower heating bills. We also have a smart heating system so that each radiator can be controlled and scheduled individually by each of us from their smartphone, which helps keep bills down and is convenient for everyone
- Triple-glazing, which also helps with bills
- New washing machine and separate tumble dryer
- Dishwasher
- Lots of storage space in each bedroom
- A very friendly and good cleaner who cleans the whole flat fortnightly, including bedrooms
The rent is £980 and bills are extra. The current figure for those (including fortnightly cleaner) is £160 each per month.
The flat is 13 minutes walk from East Putney tube station and 7 minutes from Putney Rail Station. There are lots of buses nearby. There’s a small Tesco 9 minutes away, a large Sainsbury’s 12 minutes away, a small Waitrose just by East Putney and a large Waitrose 12 minutes walk away. Putney High Street is about 7 minutes away and has lots of other shops and restaurants. Putney Heath is just up the road – about 5 minutes away.
By the way – I’ve done the photos with the panoramic function on my phone to give a better sense of the rooms so apologies for some distortions…
Deposit – one month’s rent. Street parking is available nearby. Please get in touch if you would need to store a bike.
