This is an unusual, low-cost opportunity, for a caring person or possible a couple, in our family home, which we have developed as a Christian community house. We have a strong identity centred on: inclusion in local church and community life; green living - waling, bikes, allotments linked with the house. The five adults, one young adult, and one child in the hosue, deliberately include a small number, with anxiety needs; no-one in the house has risk, alcohol, or substance issues: this is a very safe, quiet, serene and beautiful place; no-one is anyone else's formal carer (except for the two parents of the yound adult withg learning disabilities); but awareness, and will to be generally part of a supportive environment, reducing anxiety, is a part of being here.
We are mainly vegetarian, omnivores are welcome!
All five adults in the house, are keen gardeners, managing four very local, beautiful, allotments, between us; some help with these, and with managing and using the fruit - plums and grapes - from the big, mature, garden, is part of the domestic work shared between us all; no one mother-figurte does all the cleaning!
We have strong links with One Planet eco-projects in west Wales, and with local S-E London permaculture networks.

This is a unique, beautiful, very human place, offering space, quiet, and privacy, as well a community times. We are 3/4 mile from off-road cycle route, Waterlink Way, to Lewisham, Deptford, Greenwich, and then links to central London; we have 3 stations with quick services to Victoria, Charing X, London Bridge, Whitechapel and Islington, less than a mile from the house.

Most meals are individually cooked, in the house; informal sharing of food, takes place a lot, and is up to us to arrange between ourselves. We have a shared meal about once every two weeks, but not on a fixed day. The house, you can see, is Victorian, with features like fireplaces; well-used family furniture, and older carpets, ad to the cleaning, but also to the homeliness and welcoming, personal feel.There is space for a small amouth of personal furniture.
The bedroom photo, is of the double bedroom; the single room is similar, next to, on the top floor. We tend to keep one of these rooms free for anyone's guests, so one of the rooms is available long-term, the second if anyone seeing this ad, needs a shorter-term stepping-stone into living in south London. Cost for a couple, in the double room, will be more than stated, but depending on income, and on will to help with extra work, repairs, upkeep.
